Labotek Technologies successfully executed the Supply, Installation, Integration & Maintenance of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Data Centre Solutions at the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, in collaboration with the Ministry of Earth Sciences. This groundbreaking initiative is set to significantly elevate India’s capacity for advanced meteorological research, climate modelling, and disaster forecasting.
The scope of work encompassed the design and deployment of a scalable HPC environment, precision-controlled data centre infrastructure, high-availability power systems, and integrated cooling and fail-safe mechanisms. Labotek’s team ensured end-to-end integration and long-term support to meet the mission-critical demands of continuous, high-volume scientific computation.
The facility provides researchers with real-time data processing capabilities and supports simulation models essential for understanding monsoon patterns, climate change, and extreme weather events. Designed for 24×7 operation, the infrastructure emphasizes efficiency, automation, and reliability, making it a cornerstone in India’s scientific and environmental preparedness efforts.
Labotek contributes to a national project that plays a vital role in addressing global climate challenges. This collaboration reinforces Labotek Technologies’ commitment to delivering future-ready infrastructure for India’s premier research institutions.
